Color Registers
Values in the highest numbered bit-plane have
the
highest significance in
the
binary
number. As shown in figure 3-4,
the
value in each pixel in
the
highest-numbered bit-
plane forms
the
leftmost digit
of
the
number.
The
value in
the
next highest-numbered
bit-plane forms the next bit, and so on.
