7 Using the Monitor Ports
7.1 Overview
This chapter addresses how to accomplish the following items:
• Display INVOS™ regional saturation patient monitoring system screens to an external VGA monitor
connected to the video out port
• Use the USB port
• Use the serial (digital) out port to perform digital data outputting (download) functions
 WARNING:
Accessories not supplied by Covidien may not meet IEC 60601-1 standards. Contact the Covidien
customer service department for compatible products that meet these requirements.
 Note:
Make sure the appropriate output device is connected and ready to accept data before selecting an
output. See Chapter 3 for setup and installation procedures.
7.2 Using the VGA Port
The VGA port allows the INVOS™ system screens to be displayed with a VGA monitor (see Fig-
ure7-1. and Table7-1.).
