Battery Recharge
Operator's Manual 9-3
9.5.1 Check Battery Status
1. Place the monitor on a sturdy, flat surface and plug it in to a power source (mains) by attaching the
power cord to the inlet (see Figure3-1.).
Note:
Use only hospital-grade AC mains outlets.
2. Turn the mains power switch on. The blue LED on the key panel illuminates to indicate the power
is connected and the battery is charging (see Figure3-1.).
3. Access Run function by pressing the ON/OFF key to display the Start screen, then select NEW
PATIENT or PREVIOUS PATIENT from the navigation bar options.
4. Turn the mains power switch off. A battery symbol/gauge should appear in the lower right
side of the display screen, indicating the battery status. If the symbol shows a full battery, there is no
need for battery charging. If the symbol shows a partial or total discharge of the battery, turn the mains
power switch on and the battery recharges automatically.
9.5.2 Recharge the Battery
1. Place the monitor on a sturdy, flat surface and plug it in to a power source (mains) by attaching the

is connected and the battery is charging (see Figure3-1.). The monitor can be on or off. The battery
recharges as long as the blue LED is on.
