6.4 Date, Time, and Patient Identifier Settings
This section provides instructions for changing the date and time settings, and adding a patient
identifier.
Note:
The date and time may only be changed from the Start screen prior to entering Run function.
Note:
A type-matic (repeat) function is active for navigation key menus that are repetitive (for example, Next). It
allows the operator to navigate faster through the options by pressing and holding the Menu key.
6.4.1 Date
After the INVOS™ system is turned ON , perform the following menu options to change the
DATE:
Day
Use the INCREASE or DECREASE options to adjust and change the day as necessary. Press PRE-
VIOUS MENU again to return to the Start screen.
Clinical study mode: The Clinical study mode (also known as Control mode) is for investigational use only.
Contact Covidien customer service for additional information regarding Clinical study mode.
AUC and database
mode:
The AUC and database mode is for patient monitoring, and collecting and downloading cere-
bral oximetry metrics for submission to the STS adult cardiac surgery database (see Chapter 8
Database Operational Mode and Area Under the Curve).
Diagnostic mode: The Diagnostic mode is for technical service. Contact Covidien customer service for more infor-
mation regarding this mode.
