To capture first alert data, press the HOME key to display the Main screen, then perform the
following navigation bar options:
Select YES or NO.
8.6.4 Marking Metrics at the End of a Case
If cerebral oximetry database metrics were not marked during the case, they can be retroactively
captured and calculated.
Note:
Retroactive entry of database metrics can only be entered if within 24 hours of case completion and before
a new case has begun.
Note:
Induction time chosen must be after the time of baselines set.
Retroactively enter the metrics in the following order. AUC will calculate and display automatically
on the Database summary page once the other metrics have been entered.
1. Baseline (see section Mark a Baseline at the End of a Case)
2. Induction time (see section Marking the Induction Time Using Tabular Data)
3. Skin closure (see section Marking the Skin Closure Time in the Database Summary Menu Using Tabular
Data)
4. First alert (see section 8.6.3 Capturing the First Alert Metric)
Mark a Baseline at the End of a Case
If no baseline was set during the case, it can be marked at the conclusion. To mark the baseline,
press the HOME key to display the Main screen. Or, if the monitor has been turned off, turn it
on by selecting the green ON/OFF key and pressing PREVIOUS PATIENT from the Start
screen. Then, perform the following navigation bar options:
BASELINE + EVENTS DATABASE SUMMARY ALARM AUDIO ON/OFF NEXT MENU
INDUCTION TIME SKIN CLOSURE TIME FIRST ALERT DOWNLOAD MENU
YES NO
BASELINE + EVENTS DATABASE SUMMARY ALARM AUDIO ON/OFF NEXT MENU
SET BASELINES SET CHANNEL EVENT MARK PREVIOUS MENU
