In the User configuration menu, select NEXT to scroll to COLOR CODED LABELS. Select YES or
NO.
When finished, press the HOME key to exit the User configuration menu and return to the
Main screen.
6.5.11 Two- or Four-Channel Monitoring
When using just one preamplifier, specify two-channel monitoring. When the system is set to
two-channel monitoring, only channels 1 and 2 appear on the screen, and only the top preampli-
fier port (1 and 2) is active. To use two preamplifiers, you must specify four-channel monitoring
to enable all channels to appear on the screen.

The INVOS™ system must be restarted for this change to take place.
Note:
Separate sets of user configuration parameters are stored for two- and four-channel monitoring. Previous
settings for two-channel monitoring will resume when this configuration is selected, and vice versa.
Note:
For quicker access to parameters on page 2 of the User configuration menu, select PREVIOUS to wrap
around from the top to bottom of page 1, then select NEXT to access page 2.
To change the software version from two- to four-channel monitoring, press the HOME key
to display the Main screen, then perform the following navigation bar options:
In the User configuration menu, select NEXT to scroll to 2 OR 4 CHANNELS. Select the INCREASE
and DECREASE options to choose the number of channels monitored and displayed. Press the
ON/OFF key twice to restart the system. When the monitor has returned to Run function, the
number of channels selected should be displayed.
