694 Configuring VLANs
protocol vlan group all
groupid
(Optional) Add all physical interfaces to the protocol-
based group identified by
groupid
. You can add individual
interfaces to the protocol-based group as shown in the next
two commands.
groupid
— The protocol-based VLAN group ID.
interface
interface
Enter interface configuration mode for the specified
interface.
interface
— Specific interface type and number, such as
gi1/0/8.
protocol vlan group
groupid
Add the physical unit/port interface to the protocol-based
group identified by groupid.
groupid
— The protocol-based VLAN group ID.
exit Exit to global configuration mode.
vlan 5 Enter VLAN 5 configuration mode.
protocol group
groupid
vlanid
Attach a VLAN ID to the protocol-based group identified
by groupid. A group may only be associated with one
VLAN at a time. However, the VLAN association can be
changed.
groupid
— The protocol-based VLAN group ID, which is
automatically generated when you create a protocol-
based VLAN group with the
vlan protocol group
command. To see the group ID associated with the name
of a protocol group, use the
show port protocol all
command.
vlanid
— A valid VLAN ID.
CTRL + Z Exit to Privileged EXEC mode.
show port protocol [all|
groupid
]
Display the Protocol-Based VLAN information for either
the entire system or for the indicated group.
