Configuring RIP 1211
Configuring Route Redistribution Settings
Beginning in Privileged EXEC mode, use the following commands to
configure an OSPF area range and to configure route redistribution settings.
Command Purpose
configure Enter global configuration mode.
router rip Enter RIP configuration mode.
distribute-list
accesslistname
out {ospf |
static | connected}
Specify the access list to filter routes received from the
source protocol. The ACL must already exist on the
switch. For information about the commands you use to
configure ACLs, see "Configuring ACLs (CLI)" on
page 612.
accesslistname
The name used to identify an existing
ACL.
ospf
— Apply the specified access list when OSPF is the
source protocol.
static
— Apply the specified access list when packets
come through the static route.
connected
Apply the specified access list when
packets come from a directly connected route.
redistribute {static |
connected} [metric
integer
]
Configure RIP to allow redistribution of routes from the
specified source protocol/routers.
static
— Specifies that the source is a static route.
connected
Specifies that the source is a directly
connected route.
metric
— Specifies the metric to use when
redistributing the route. Range: 1-15.
