APPENDIX B : COMPRESSOR DRIVEN AIRDRYER
20950 Issue 1 April 98 B--9
The output air is checked by a pressure switch and a small amount,
controlled by an inline orifice, is allowed to leak onto a humidity
sensor. A failure in either the pressure or humidity is detected by the
electronics system.
ThePeltierheatsinkassemblyhasasecondoutputconnection,through
a solenoid valve to a vent and a third output connection through a
Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) (to the same vent). Opening the solenoid

assembly. The PRV limits the air pressure to a factory setting of 4bar.

The Peltier heatsink assembly has a thermally insulated condenser
where the compressed air is cooled, and a heatsink that dissipates the
heat taken from the air. The heatsink is cooled by a fan that draws air
into the cabinet througha filter. This air alsoprovides generalcooling
and is expelled by a fan on the opposite side of the cabinet.
