APPENDIX B : AIR DRIVEN AIRDRYER
INTRODUCTION
The air driven airdryer fills the print head with very clean, dry air,
creating an environment around the ink jet and gutter which ensures
thattheinkdoesnotabsorbtheairbornecontaminantsthatarethemain
cause of ink degradation. The additional parts of the system are:
D An airdryer unit
D Airdryer connection kit.
The airdryer takes factory supplied air, which it cleans, regulates and
supplies at the required flow rate to the printer cabinet, for use in the
print head. The airdryer checks the humidity and pressure of the air
and provides both visual and audible warning of any fault. If a
pressurefaultoccurs,theprinterperformsacontrolledshut--downand
raises an alert.
