14.5 Hook thread clamp

Proper setting
The hold-down force of the clamp (1) should not be set at a value higher 
than necessary. It should be able to pull the hook thread from the hook.
1. Perform sewing and the thread trim.
2. Using the screwdriver (2), pull the thread as shown in the picture and 
determine whether the thread is pulled out from the hook under the 
clamp (1).
3. Set and adjust the pressure of the hook thread clamp (1) using the 
screw (3) until the instruction is complied with.
Error
If the hook thread clamp is set incorrectly, difficulties may appear during 
sewing.
