10.3 Decrease in the hydraulic oil level
In case of an internal leakage in the hydraulic system, hydraulic oil
might collect in the travel system or exciter shaft housing:
n Normally, there must not be any oil in the travel system
housing.
n If hydraulic oil collects in the exciter shaft housing, the oil level
in it will increase tremendously.
Protective equipment:

Working clothes
n
Safety shoes
n
Protective gloves
n
Safety goggles
1. Move the machine onto flat, level ground so that the oil level
inspection plug can be reached through the bottom of the
drum.

Park the machine safely

3. Place a cleaning cloth underneath the oil level inspection
plug and remove the plug.

Normally, there must not be any oil in the travel system
housing.
4. If a significant quantity flows out of the inspection bore you
should inform our customer service.
5. Screw the oil level inspection plug back in.
6. If necessary, dispose of the collected oil in line with environ-
mental regulations.

2. Lift the front or rear of the machine 145 mm (5.7 in), support
it securely and secure it with a wheel chock.
