Replacing parts
DIMMs
The motherboard has 16 DIMM sockets organized into two sets, as shown in Figure 34.

The E-85 standard configuration provides four 4GB DIMMs, for a total of 16GB of memory (Socket A0 for both Set 0 and
Set 1, and Socket B0 for both Set 0 and Set 1).
Note: DIMMs must be correctly installed in order for the E-85 to function properly. To ensure proper operation, replace
DIMMs only with approved replacement DIMMs from EFI.
Note: When installing DIMMs, note the following:
• There are eight channels (A to D channels for Set 0 and Set 1) for DIMM slots. Use the same DIMM type for each
channel.
