10 Commissioning
10.1 Function check
Before commissioning the measuring device:
Make sure that the post-installation and post-connection checks have been
performed.

10.2 Switching on the measuring device
After a successful function check, switch on the measuring device.
After a successful startup, the local display switches automatically from the
startup display to the operational display.
If nothing appears on the local display or a diagnostic message is displayed, refer to
the section on "Diagnostics and troubleshooting" →  105.
10.3 Establishing a connection via FieldCare

10.4 Configuring the device address via software
In the "Communication" submenu the device address can be set.
Navigation
"Setup" menu → Communication → Device address
10.4.1 Ethernet network and Web server
When delivered, the measuring device has the following factory settings:
IP address 192.168.1.212
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Default gateway 192.168.1.212
If hardware addressing is active, software addressing is disabled.
If a switch is made to hardware addressing, the address configured via software
addressing is retained for the first 9 places (the first three octets).
If the IP address of the device is not known, the device address currently configured
can be read out →  100.
10.5 Setting the operating language
Factory setting: English or ordered local language
