This function is only relevant for local operation and has no effect on access via
MODBUS RS485 communication.
All data of the measuring system are protected against inadvertent change.
Programming is disabled and the settings cannot be changed until a code is
entered in this function. If you press the
O / S keys in any function, the
measuring system automatically goes to this function and the prompt to enter the
code appears on the display (when programming is disabled).
You can enable programming by entering your personal code (Factory setting =
83, see function DEFINE PRIVATE CODE (2021)).
User input: max. 4-digit number: 0 to 9999
! Note!
• Programming is disabled if you do not press a key within 60 seconds following
automatic return to the HOME position.
• You can also disable programming in this function by entering any number
(other than the defined private code).
• The Endress+Hauser service organization can be of assistance if you mislay
your personal code.

from accessing your personal code.
