Flocculation control A "flocculation" output can be defined in the "Inputs/Outputs" menu in
the displays 1.7.7 and 1.7.8. A dosing pump for dosing flocculant can
be controlled with this output.
The dosing rate with which the flocculation output doses the chemical
is calculated automatically in % with the input parameters circulation,
dosing rate of the pump and the quantity of the flocculant to be added.
For reduced circulation (ECONOMIC operating mode) a second dosing
rate (50 %) is calculated at the same time. Both dosing rates can also
be entered directly. In order to activate the second dosing rate, the
function "ECONOMIC" must be assigned to the digital input 3 from the
"Inputs/Outputs", "Digital Input" menu (display 1.7.5).
An external contact (NC) with the function "Circulation lowered" must
be connected to DI 3.
NOTE
Flocculation is only activated if the measured pH value is in a defined
range (6.00 ... 8.00). These values can be set in the "pH limit values"
menu in the display 1.2.3.
If pH measurement is not available, the flocculation function is not sup-
ported!
DIN contact An output "DIN 19643 funct." can be defined in the "Inputs/Outputs",
"External Functions" menu (display 1.7.7). The contact is activated if
the following parameters of the water quality are met to DIN require-
ments:
Cl
2
0.3 ... 0.6 mg/l
pH 6.5 ... 7.6
Redox > 750 mV
Cl-N < 0.2 mg/l
Hysteresis for all measurements 0.03
These limits can be set in the menu 1.7.7 in the corresponding range.
The DIN contact can be used for the following functions:
Enabling of circulation reduction in conjunction with a filter control
The visual signal "Water quality good/bad"
NOTE
The function is only available if Cl
2
, pH and Redox measurement is
installed.
If Cl-N measurement is not installed, the DIN function is made avai-
lable without Cl-N value.
The DIN contact remains activ at controller STOP as long as the
measured valued are within the DIN limits.
