2.7.3 Connecting the Sample Water
CAUTION!
The sample water take-off must be located in front of the point of appli-
cation of the flocculant. This could otherwise influence measurement.
1 Sample water inlet with ball valve

Never use copper tubing.
The pressure in the sample water inlet must always be within the
range 0.2 min. to 4 bar max. The pressure in the sample water inlet
must always be 0.2 bar higher than in the sample water outlet.
If the pressure is below 0.2 bar a pressure booster pump must
be used (see "Examples for sample water with pressure booster
pump" page 139 and page 140).
If the pressure exceeds 4 bar a pressure reducing valve must be
used.
To prevent long loop dead times, ensure that the pipes in the samp-
le water inlet are as short as possible.
An external strainer must be provided for the sample water inlet
(part no. W3T171391) with a mesh width of 0.5 mm.
