RELAYS - AUTOMATION
Up to 1.000 relays can be connected to the same decoder bus to
activate different devices in response to the activation of sensors or
to activate them independently. The relays are managed using a relay
decoder which has 8x2 ampere relays with NA and NC outputs. The
relay decoder connects to the decoder bus from which it obtains its
power supply. The timing and the initial status (active or standby) is
congured for each output (1 to 255 seconds or indenite).
There are many ways to activate the relays:
• Schedule Planner: activates and deactivates the relays based on
the weekly schedule established (up to 32 daily plans).
• From access control readers. Each user has an identier
associated to a relay such that when they swipe it, it activates the
lock-release and switches the status on the associated relay.
• From the central console. Any relay can be activated or
deactivated, entering its number and the required status (active/
standby).
• On activating a sensor or combination of sensors.
• On reaching an area's maximum capacity.
• While somebody is in the area.
• Using combined proximity and keypad readers
connected to a PC.
The typical applications are:
• Automatic Connection and Disconnection of Devices: heating,
refrigeration, illumination, etc...
• Connection and disconnection of alarms.
• Activation of sirens and warning lights.
Programming of sensor decoders and relays is done using the
decoder programmer (ref.2466).
