21.3 BTU mode
The BTU mode (BTU = British Thermal Unit) is a measuring mode that is designed spe-
cifically for the heat flow measurement. In the BTU mode, the position of the transducers
and the application can be assigned to avoid receiving the opposite sign of the measured
values.
21.3.1 Activation/deactivation of the BTU mode
• Enter the HotCode 007025 immediately after the transmitter has been switched on.
• Select on to activate the BTU mode, off to deactivate it.
• Press ENTER.
21.3.2 Assignment of the transducers and the temperature inputs
The position of the transducers and the temperature inputs can be assigned in accor-
dance with the application.
• Select
Special Funct.\SYSTEM settings\Proc. inputs\Link temperature
.
• Press ENTER.
• In case of a heating application, select heat, in case of a cooling application chill.
• Press ENTER.
• Select return, if the transducers are mounted on the return line or supply, if the
transducers are mounted on the supply line.
• Press ENTER.
Act as BTU-meter
The BTU mode remains active after a restart of the transmitter.
