Choose R multiplier input, which can be changed from 0 Ω to 100.00 MΩ.
To use the Resistance Multiplier:
1. Push .
2. Connect the DUT to the resistance multiplier adapter and the Product as
shown in Figure 37 and Figure 38.
3. Push the Mode softkey. Then, use the cursor keys or rotary knob to highlight
Resistance and select it by pushing the Select softkey or by pushing in the
rotary knob.
Note
For correct readings, the high resistance source ground must be
turned off. Go to Setup>High resistance source>High resistance
source GND and select Off.
4. If YES is not already displayed after R Multiplier in the PARAMETERS area
of the display, push the R Mult softkey.
5. Adjust the value for desired resistance.
6. Push .
WCaution
When using the Resistance Multiplier, the Product cannot
monitor the DUT scan test voltage. To avoid possible damage
to the adapter and Product, do not exceed maximum peak
voltage of 10k V on the input terminals of the Resistance
Multiplier.
7. Activate the measurement on the DUT by pushing its start or test button.
8. Compare the DUT reading with the resistance value in the OUTPUT area of
the display.
9. Stop the test by releasing the appropriate test button on the DUT.
10. Push to disconnect the output terminals from the DUT.
