Using the function key
Press the corresponding function key. The function assigned to this key is executed. An LED associated
with this particular function is switched on or off accordingly.
Pressthekey two times to reachthesecond level for thefunction keys. This mustbeexecuted at a short in

terval.
Important notes for LED functions
The status of the LEDs is not updated permanently in the system telephone. The status of the LEDs is not
changedwhen thesefunctions are changedor switched usinga code or PCconfiguration for thePABXsys
-
tem. If the telephone is disconnected from the ISDN network (for example for Parking of a call) the LEDs
will be off when the system telephone is plugged in again.
The display for the assigned LED is changed and the corresponding feature activated/de-activated in the
PABX system when you press a function key.
Example: You activate the message to your system telephone using the function key and someone else
de-activates the announcement via the PABX system PC configuration. When you press the function key
you also de-activate the message and the assigned LED is switched accordingly.
System menu at a pabx with system telephony
The system telephone is designed for being connected to the internal ISDN connection ofpabx systems.
These devices provide a special menu with further system-specific functions. This menu and the fea-
tures that it contains are managed entirely in the PABX.
Simply press the »PABX menu« softkey to access the system menu.
