YoucanconnectthesystemtelephoneattheinternalS0,Up0orEthernetconnectionofa pabxsystem. The
telephone provides system features when connected to certain elmeg PABX systems. For example:
•
Dialingfromthepabxtelephonedirectory
•
SendingandreceivingSMS messages
•
Messagingandintercomcallswithother systemtelephonesconnectedtothepabx.
•
Function keys for controlling special PABX features (switching call modes, team log-in/off, line
buttons,extensionbuttons).
The status of theprogrammed features can bedisplayed bymeans of LEDs assignedto thespecific
functionkeys.
•
AccessingthePABXsystem menu. Thismenuprovidesfurther pabxfeatures.
The internal connection of the PABX systems automatically interfaces with the system telephone. Please
refer to the operating instructions of your PABX to determine whether these typical system features are
provided with the various system telephones.
CS400 / CS400xt
Thissystemtelephoneisdeliveredwithakeyextensionmodule(T400/2),providingyouwith10additional,
freely configurable keys.
ItisdesignedforconnectiontoaninternalS0port(4-wirecable)ofaPABXsystem. Thesystemtelephoneis
not equipped with aUSB orserial port for configurationor otheruses. This phone must beconfigured via
theinternalISDNportusingtheWinToolsProfessionalConfigurator. Therearealsono»Audiofunctions«
implementedandyoucan notuse theAnsweringmachineorUp0modules orfunctions. Noneofthefunc-
tions for this module are shown in the display, nor can they be used.
Thistelephoneisequippedwiththefunction»Emergencyoperation«.»Off«
= Emergency operation off, »On« = Emergency operation On. meaning it
can be operated at NT via the PABX system on a loss of 230 V~ power. If
more than one telephone is connected to the ISDN system, the emergency
operation functionmayonlybeconfigured on one of theISDNsystemtele
-
phones. All calls are signaledat thisphone. The volume of theringing tone
isset tolow. Inaddition tomakingnormalcalls,thefollowingfunctionsare
also available:

Selection of a call number from the telephone directory or the speed dial memory after lifting the
handset.
•
Displayofcalldurationandcosts.
•
Mute.
•
Terminatecall.
The phone number (MSN) that the network service provider assigned to you as the first (master) number
willbetransmittedto externalsubscribers.Chargebillingiseffectedforthis. Observetheinformationcon

cerning emergency operation in the PABX system. Ongoing connections are interrupted in the event of a
power failure.
