Further settings when using a headset
Youcan usethe handsetor theheadset formakingcalls. With headsetoperation, thefollowing settingsare
required or possible:

Whenconfiguringyourtelephone,programoneofthefunctionkeysforheadsetoperation(headset
button,seepage54).

You can use the headset connected to your system automat ically for certain actions on the phone
(seepage70).
•
Ifaspecialsupportfeatureisstoredinyourtelephonefortheheadsetyourareusing,setyourphone
forthatheadsetmodel(seepage59).
Forexample,theLEDinthemicrophoneextensionfor»FireflyF142N«fromPlantronicscanbeac

tivatedbythetelephone.

Ifyouwouldlike to use the auto-answer feature withyourheadset, setthe time after whicha call is
answered(seepage70).Whenconfiguringyourtelephone,youshouldprogramafunctionkeytobe
usedforactivatingordeactivating theauto-answer feature.

If you have configuredyour phone for automaticheadset use, you canpoll the answering machine
usingtheheadset.

youuseadifferentUSBcord,ensurethatthedistancebetweenthetelephoneandthePC,orbet

are using.
