Connections
Choose how many users can connect using this peer profile.
Possible values:
• ? 3& (default value): Only one peer can be connected
with the data defined in this profile.
• (/,/ 3&&: Several peers can be connected with the
data defined in this profile. The peer entry is duplicated for
each connection request with the data defined in this profile.
Start Mode Select how the peer is to be switched to the active state.
Possible values:
• ? 1 (default value): The peer is switched to the active
state by a trigger.
• 0/)& ,: The peer is always active.

Field Description
Back Route Verify Select whether a check on the back route should be activated
for the interface to the connection partner.
The function is enabled with #/.
The function is disabled by default.
Proxy ARP Select whether your device is to respond to ARP requests from
its own LAN on behalf of the specific connection partner.
Possible values:
• % (default value): Deactivates Proxy ARP for this
IPSec peer.
• 3, 1: Your device only responds to an ARP re-
quest if the status of the connection to the IPSec peer is 3,
(active) or 1 (dormant). In the case of 1, your
device only responds to the ARP request; the connection is
not set up until someone actually wants to use the route.
• 3, /): Your device responds to an ARP request only if the
status of the connection to the IPSec peer is 3, (active), i.e. a
connection already exists to the IPSec peer.
