PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
Uneven fertiliser spread-
ing.
Fertiliser build-up on fertiliser
spreading discs and spreading
vanes.
Clean the fertiliser spreading vanes and
the diffuser cylinders.
The adjustment shutters are
not opening all the way.
Make sure the electrical system is work-
ing.
Drop point not completely ad-
justed.
Correct drop point adjustment.
Too much fertiliser in the
wake of the tractor.
Check the spreading vanes
and the outlets.
Replace the defective or worn parts
The spreading disc set running
speed has been exceeded.
Reduce the number of revs on the
spreading discs
The fertiliser slides more easily. Slow down fertiliser output. Move the
drop point adjustment to higher values
(i.e. from 25 to 28).
Too much fertiliser in the
overlapping area.
The spreading disc set running
speed has not been reached.
Increase the number of revs on the
spreading discs.
The fertiliser slides less easily. Anticipate fertiliser output. Move the
drop point adjustment to lower values
(i.e. from 35 to 31).
The hopper empties un-
evenly even though both
sides are always used
when working.
The supply shutters are ad-
justed differently.
Correct the adjustment
A bridge of fertiliser has
formed.
Identify what has caused the bridge to
form.
The agitator is not working
well.
Check the wear on the agitator and re-
place it.
A foreign object has clogged
the outlet.
Try opening the supply shutter com-
pletely to make the foreign object come
out.
The spreading discs are
wobbly.
The discs are not tightened
properly
Make sure the locking handwheels are
tight and check the condition of their
threading.
The fertiliser breaks up
excessively.
The agitator is jammed. Make sure the agitator turns freely on it-
self. Repair the worn parts.
Fertiliser does not come
out of one or both sides.
The electrical actuator that
controls the dosing shutter is
not working properly.
Check the actuator electrical connec-
tions. Run tests to check whether the
electrical actuator is working properly.
The electrical actuator that
controls the ON/OFF shutter is
not working properly.
Check the actuator electrical connec-
tions. Run tests to check whether the
electrical actuator is working properly.
One spreading disc does
not turn.
A drive part is broken. Make sure the drive connected to the
stopped disc is intact.
