Designing a report template
Starting template designing
1. Start the Report designer (see page 244).
2. Press File and select New to display a blank page or use
the current report template as basis template.

1. Press Customize and select Page Color.
The Color selection window is displayed.
2. Select the desired color.
3. Press OK.

Inserting an information container in the
report template body
The different type of information to be included in a report are
grouped in information containers. Designing a report template
consists in inserting and configuring the different information
containers in the template page in an ordered manner.
Information containers can be inserted either:
• Directly into the report template body: this procedure does
not allow side-by-side insertion, the information container
will normally cover the width of the report template page.
• Within a table: this procedure allows side-by-side insertion
of several information containers.
Inserting a table
1. Press the Left mouse button at the desired insertion point
in the Report template design area.
2. Press Insert and select Table.
The Container properties window is displayed (see
Figure 9-5).
3. Adjust the parameters as desired.
4. Press OK.
The table is displayed in the template.
