Connecting and disconnecting probes
Probes can be connected or changed at any time, regardless of
whether the system is powered ON or OFF.
To connect a probe:
1. Place the probe’s carrying case on a stable surface and
open the case.

unit is on.
2. Carefully remove the probe and unwrap the probe cord.
DO NOT allow the probe head to hang freely. impact to the
probe head could result in irreparable damage.
3. Press the probe connector locking lever (refer to
Figure 1-9) downwards.
4. Align the connector with the probe port and carefully push
into place, as shown in Figure 1-8.

CAUTION
Handle the probes gently while connecting and disconnecting.
WARNING
Do NOT touch the patient and any of the connectors on the
ultrasound unit simultaneously, including ultrasound probe
connectors.
