To select a probe and an application:
1. Press APPLICATION on the control panel. A list of the
connected probes will pop up. The list will contain the name
of the probe in the main connector and the name of the CW
pencil probe connected to the small connector.
2. Trackball to the desired probe.
An application menu for the desired probe is then listed.
3. Trackball to the desired application
4. Press
SET to launch the application.
Disconnecting the probe
To disconnect probes:
1. Push the locking lever on the Vivid i all the way down.
The probes that are
not connected to the
unit should be
stored in their stor-
age case.
2. Remove the connector from the port.
3. Ensure that the probe head is clean before placing the
probe in its storage case.
CAUTION
Make sure that the probe and application names displayed on the
screen correspond to the actual probe and application selection.
Check that the correct TI category is displayed (see "Thermal
Index" on page 353). TIB must be displayed when a fetal
application is selected.
