This instrument contains a lithium battery. The battery is not
user-replacable and replacement should only be carried out by
qualified service personnel.
There is a danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly
replaced.
The battery must be replaced with the same or equivalent type
(HP Part No. 1420-0394). Discard used batteries according to local
regulations.

The HP 8114A is not designed for outdoor use. Do not expose
the HP 8114A to rain or other excessive moisture. Protect the

8114A from humidity and temperature changes which could
cause condensation within the instrument.

gases, fumes or powders. Operation of any electrical
instrument in such an environment constitutes a definite safety
hazard.
