command to verify the configuration. If the configuration is correct, send Ethernet frames from
the tester to test network performance.

7.5.2 Example for Configuring Remote MAC Swap Loopback
Networking Requirements
As shown in Figure 7-4, Switch B is an S6700. XGE 0/0/1 of Switch B is connected to an
Ethernet network.
A remote MAC swap loopback test needs to be performed on XGE 0/0/1. A tester sends Ethernet
frames to Switch B. After the Ethernet frames are received on XGE 0/0/1, Switch B swaps their
source and destination MAC addresses and sends them back to the tester from XGE 0/0/1. The
tester analyzes connectivity and performance of the Ethernet network based on the received
Ethernet frames.
