When sending the power ON command (18 01), you need to repeatedly send “FE” for
13 milliseconds before the standard format. The following is the approximate number
of needed repetitions. (Not necessary when the IC-R30 is connected through the
[USB] connector.)
• 19200 bps: 27 “FE”s
• 9600 bps: 13 “FE”s
• 4800 bps: 7 “FE”s
