NSD
This function is available in the Satellite Only mode of the Routing Config.
Set the Routing Config in the “8.8.5 Data” on page 77.
Network Service Device (NSD) is used to manage and control the data traffic
over both GX and BGAN terminals when an L-band BGAN terminal is used as a
backup to a Global Xpress (GX) service.

Device
Select the terminal type of NSD to connect to the antenna from the drop-down
list. Click the Apply button to apply the settings to the system.

Fleet Edge
Support
• Fleet Edge: Activates the function to support Fleet Edge. The IP assigned from
the satellite is assigned to the device connected to the Ethernet port below.
• Ethernet Port: In case Fleet Edge is enabled, specify the Ethernet port to
which the device to receive the IP assigned from the satellite is connected.
• APN: Enter the APN name of the Fleet Edge.
• Username: Enter the username of the APN.
• Password: Enter the password corresponding to the user name.
NOTE 1.
If Fleet Edge support is activated, the satellite data connection is not available in dashboard. In that case,
the satellite data connection for Fleet Edge support is only available. Voice service using the satellite
network is always available regardless of Fleet Edge support activation.
NOTE 2.
If Fleet Edge support is activated, the existing firewall rules at SETUP > Firewall menu are disabled and not
used.
NOTE 3.
If Fleet Edge support is activated, the existing port forwarding rules at SETUP > Data menu are disabled
and not used.
NOTE4.
If Fleet Edge support is activated, you can see the status in the
dashboard.
