①
Satellite
By the satellite setup, the terminal automatically finds and connects to the most
appropriate satellite in the default mode. In an area available with multi BGAN
satellites, select a satellite to use for the registration on the BGAN network.
②
Select Satellite
Select a satellite to use.
Check Auto and click the Apply button for setting the Auto Satellite mode
(default). In the Auto Satellite mode, the terminal automatically finds and
connects to the most appropriate satellite.
To select a preferred satellite, check the satellite to use and click the Apply
button. The terminal connects to the selected satellite only. If the antenna
locates outside the coverage area of that satellite, the terminal is disconnected
from the BGAN network.
Note: When you click the Apply button, all of ongoing connections (calls,
data transfer, etc.) with currently registered satellite will be terminated before
registering the new satellite.
③
Tracking Status
When a satellite is selected, the antenna status is changed from Searching to
Tracking Status.
• Searching Status: The antenna is searching for the BGAN signal.
• Tracking Status: The antenna is locked to and tracking the BGAN signal. In the
graphic chart, the blue line shows Signal Strength (dBHz) and the green line
shows Signal Quality Scores.
