The special instrument settings that are required for implementing a ring buffer
mechanism, are listed below:
Dynamic sequencing is required in either continuous or triggered mode (refer to
the sections 8.8.6, 8.8.7 and 8.21.10)
A special streaming mode needs to be selected (refer to the section 8.21.15).
The special sequence settings that are required for implementing a ring buffer
mechanism, are listed below:
The overall minimum length of the sequence needs to be 1024 sequence vectors.
A minimum of five data segments is required. The overall length of the second data
segment down to the last data segment must be more than 512 vectors.
The first sequence table entry must be at address zero and must be a data
segment. Idle delay segments (refer to the section 8.20) are not allowed.
Data segments should be located linearly in the sample memory (refer to the
section 8.22.12).
The last segment of the sequence must be a data segment. Idle delay segments
(refer to the section 8.20) are not allowed.
For each data segment, command segments for action table, frequency table or
amplitude table access are also allowed.
