TheWBTMiniisacompactversionofthehighly
efcientWidebandTransceiver(WBT)usedby
marineresearchvesselsallaroundtheworld.Typical
deploymentsincludeportableechosoundersand
anyothersurfaceplatformsthatmaybenetfromits
compactsizeandenergy-efcientdesign.TheWBT
Minihasasmallsize,highcapacityandlowpower
consumption,and-asanoption-autonomousoperation.
ThetransceiverelectronicsintheWBTMinihavethelinearFM(chirp)andCWpulse
formssimilartotheWidebandTransceiver.Itcontainsfourindividualtransceiver
channelswithmultiplexingfunctionality.Thisallowsforgreatexibilitywhenyouset
upasystemwithvarioussplit-beamorsingle-beamtransducercongurations.
TheWBTMiniiscontainedinasplash-proofcabinet.Therobustdesignallows
long-termdeploymentinchallengingenvironments.TheWBTMinirequiresanexternal
powersupply.
WBTTube
TheWBTTubeisadepthratedversionofthehighlyefcientWideBandTransceiver
(WBT)usedbymarineresearchvesselsallaroundtheworld.TheWBTTubeis
containedinapressureratedtube.Itisdesignedforlongtermusedownto4000metres
waterdepth.Typicaldeploymentsincludemoorings,subseastructuresforenvironmental
monitoringandprobes.
TheshapeandpressureratingmakestheWBTTubeanidealsolutionforsubsea
structureswithmultiplesensors.EachWBTTubecontainstwoindependenttransceiver
boardsaswellasamultiplexedoutput.Thismakesitpossibletopingontwosplit-beam
transducersimultaneously,orfoursplit-beamtransducersusingalternatepingingon
twoatatime.
ThetransceiverelectronicsintheWBTTubehavethesamelinearFM(chirp)andCW
pulseformsastheWideBandTransceiver.Itcontainseightindividualtransceiver
channelswithmultiplexingfunctionality.Thisallowsforgreatexibilitywhenyouset
upasystemwithvarioussplit-beamorsingle-beamtransducercongurations.
TheWBTTuberequiresanexternalpowersupply.Twoversionsareavailable,onefor
15VDCoperation,andoneforor24VDC.Itcommunicateswiththecomputerusing
onehighspeedEthernetlineforeachtransceiverinuse.
