MountingtheWBTCabinet
TheWBTCabinetisacustomized19"-inchinstrumentrackttedwithpowerfulshock
absorbers.Thecabinetcancontainmaximumsevencustomdrawers,andeachofthese
willholdoneWideBandTransceiver(WBT)anditspowersupply.AnEthernetswitch
andapowerdistributorpanelareincludedthebottomofthecabinet.
Prerequisites
Youmustbeequippedwithastandardsetof
tools.Thistoolsetmustcomprisethenormal
toolsforelectronicandelectromechanicaltasks.
Thisincludesdifferentscrewdrivertypes,pliers,
spanners,acablestripper,asolderingiron,etc.
Eachtoolmustbeprovidedinvarioussizes.We
recommendthatalltoolsaredemagnetizedto
protectyourequipment.Thefollowingspecic
toolsarerequiredforthistask:
•Powerdrill
•Weldingequipment
WerecommendthatyouinstalltheWBTCabinet
before
youinstalltheWBTDrawersandthe
transceivers.

Context
Thecabinetisinstalledusingshockabsorbers.Itismountedonthedeckandsecured
againstabulkhead.Alternatively,youcanplaceitnexttoothersimilarcabinets,and
usetheseforsupport.
Placethecabineton”U"-shapedsteelprolestomakemoreroomforthecables.Design
andinstallsuitablemountingbracketsifitisnecessarytoobtainadditionaldistance
fromthebulkhead.
Theinstallationofthecabinetmustbeplannedandpreparedbytheinstallationshipyard
inclosecooperationwiththeenduser.Relevantinstallationdrawingswithmounting
detailsmustbeprovidedbytheshipyard.
