Anoverallinstallationprocedureisprovided.Thisproceduredoesnotdescribeany
detailedtasks.Refertotherelevanttasksinthismanual.
Note
InordertoobtainmaximumsafetyandEK80performance,itisveryimportantthatthe
installationproceduresinthismanualarecompliedto.Youmustdothetasksintheorder
theyaredescribed.Thevesselownermustmakesurethattheinstallationshipyardholds
theapplicablecompetencetoperformtheinstallation,andthattheapplicablemaritime
authoritiesareavailabletoverifyandcertifytheinstallation.
Theinstallationshipyardmustprovideallnecessarydesignandinstallationdrawings,
aswellastherelevantworkstandardsandmountingprocedures.Ifrequired,all
documentsprovidedbytheshipyardforthephysicalinstallationoftheEK80mustbe
approvedbythevessel’snationalregistryandcorrespondingmaritimeauthorityand/or
classicationsociety.Suchapprovalmustbeobtainedbeforetheinstallationcanbegin.
Theshipownerandshipyarddoingtheinstallationareresponsibleforobtainingand
payingforsuchapproval.
