Prerequisitesforcableinstallation
CorrectwiringiscrucialfortheoperationalperformanceoftheEK80.Electrical
connectionscanonlybemadebyskilledpersonnel(shipelectricians,techniciansor
engineers).Theinstallationshipyardmustpreparedetaileddrawingsoftheelectrical
system,andidentifyeachcable.Observethebasiccablerequirements.
Youmustbeequippedwithastandardsetoftools.Thistoolsetmustcomprisethe
normaltoolsforcableinstallationtasks.Thisincludesdifferentscrewdrivertypes,
pliers,spanners,acablestripper,asolderingiron,etc.Eachtoolmustbeprovidedin
varioussizes.Werecommendthatalltoolsaredemagnetizedtoprotectyourequipment.
Dependingonthetasksathand,additionaltoolsmayberequired.
Refertothecableplansandthelistofcables.Detailedinformationaboutcable
specications,terminationandconnectorsareprovidedintherelevantcabledrawings.
Unlessotherwisespecied,allcablesaresuppliedwiththeEK80delivery.Inorderto
easetheaccessformaintenancepurposes,andtoallowforvibration,makesurethat
someslackisprovidedforeachcable.

Allelectronicinstallationsandcorrespondingwiringmustbeinaccordancewiththe
vessel'snationalregistryandcorrespondingmaritimeauthorityand/orclassication
society.
