TheEK80softwareautomaticallyscanstheProcessorUnittolocateandidentify
theavailablecommunicationports.Oncethesoftwarehasestablishedalistofvalid
interfaces,youcansetupandcontrolthecommunicationparameters.
Prerequisites
Thisprocedureassumesthat:
•YouhaveavacantinterfaceportonyourProcessorUnit.
•YouarefamiliarwithNMEAandotherrelevantdatagramformats.
•Youknowhowtosetuptheparametersforserialandlocalareanetwork(LAN)
communication.
•Thecommunicationparametersrequiredforthesensorinterfaceareknown.
Context
TheI/OSetuppageprovidestwolists;oneforserialportsandoneforEthernet
(LAN)ports.Eachlistissupportedwithasetoffunctionstosetupandmonitorthe
communicationports.Selecttheportyouwanttoworkwithandthenselectoneof
thebuttonsbelowthelist.
