Easy editing using the buttons
and knobs
AllofthemicroSTATION’sprogramscanbeedited.
Youcancreateoriginalprogramsbyeditingthe
preloadprogramsonthemicroSTATIONwithout
needingtouseexternalsoftware.
ByusingthemicroSTATIONEditor/Plug‐InEditor
softwarethatisinstalledonyourcomputer,you’llalso
beabletocreateoriginalprogramsfromscratch,
startingfromaninitializedprogram.
However,creatingthesoundyouwantfroman
initializedprogramisalotofwork.Werecommend
thatyoustartwithapreloadprogramthat’scloseto
whatyouhaveinmind,andmodifyittoyourtaste.
Let’stryusingtherealtimecontrolknobsonthe
microSTATION’sfrontpaneltoeditaprogram.For
example,youcaneditparameterssuchascutoff,
resonance,andreleasetimeinthisway.
Muting/un-muting oscillators
OnthemicroSTATION,youcanusethefrontpanel
PLAY/MUTEbuttonandfunctionbuttons01and02to
switchthemute/un‐mutestatusofeachprogram
oscillator.

Knob [1]: CUTOFF
Thisadjuststhefilter’scutofffrequency.Adjustingthe
cutofffrequencywillmodifythebrightnessofthe
sound.
Knob [2]: RESONANCE
Thisadjuststhefilter’sresonancelevel.
Adjustingthefilterresonancelevelwillboostthe
soundintheregionofthefrequency,givinga
distinctivecharactertothesound.
