writingyouredits,thedataofthenewlyselected

nwilloverwritetheediteddata
intheeditbuffer,andyourchangeswillbelost.

Writing global settings
Settingsthatyou’veeditedinGlobal/Mediamodecan
bewrittentothemicroSTATION’sinternalmemory.Be
suretowriteyoursettingsifyouwanttokeepthem
evenafterthepoweristurnedoff.

Memory in Global/Media mode
Whenthepoweristurnedon,theGlobal/Mediamode
dataiscalledfrominternalmemoryintotheGlobal/
Mediamodememoryarea.Thenwhenyoumodifythe
parametersinGlobal/Mediamode,thedatainthe
memoryareawillbemodified.Ifyouwishtosavethis
modifieddataininternalmemory,youmu
stWriteit.
Whenyouwritethisdata,thedatainthememo

Ifyouturnoffthepowerwithoutwriting,the
modifieddatainthememoryareawillbelost.
Memory protect
TopreventPrograms,Combinations,Songs,Drum
Kits,andUserArpeggioPatternsfrombeing
overwrittenaccidentally,themicroSTATIONprovides
aMemoryProtectsettingthatprohibitswritingto
memory.
Beforeyousaveediteddataorloaddatafrommedia,
usethefollowingproceduretoturnthememory
protectoff.
Youmustalsoturnmemoryprotectoffbeforeloading
theabovedatafromme
diaorviaaMIDIdatadump,
orbeforerecordinginSequencermode.
1. PresstheGLB/MEDIAbuttontoenterGlobal/

2. ChooseGLOBAL/MEDIA:Basic‐Memory
Protect.
3. TurnOffthe“MemoryProtect”settingforthe
datathatyouwanttowritetothe
microSTATION’smemory.
