Prism for large samples
In two cases, the standard prism must be exchanged with the smaller prism for
large samples:
If the sample is so large that it lies underneath the prism.
If a large rotating sample table ST3230/3280 is installed.
Standard prism Prism for large samples
Use the standard prism in any other case.
With the prism for large samples measurements must be carried out with a view
angle of at least 2°.
6.3 Illumination / aperture
The sample is illuminated with a software-controlled illumination
( DSA1/DSA3/DSA4 software manual).
A manual aperture is additionally provided to measure small contact angles
( DSA1/DSA3/DSA4 software manual).
