Procedure
Step 1. Prepare your server.
a. Remove the top cover. See “Remove the top cover” on page 225.
b. Remove the PCIe riser. See “Remove a PCIe riser” on page 183 .
c. Remove the PCIe adapter or serial port cable. See “Remove a PCIe adapter” on page 187 or
“Remove the serial port module” on page 212.
Step 2. Unfasten the four screws to remove the PCIe riser board from the PCIe riser cage.

Install a PCIe riser board
Follow instructions in this section to install a PCIe riser board to the rear PCIe riser.
