Disassemble the system board for recycle
Follow the instructions in this section to disassemble the system board before recycling.
About this task
Before disassembling the system board:
1. Remove the system board from the server. See “Remove the system board” on page 215.
2. Refer to local environmental, waste or disposal regulations to ensure compliance.
Procedure
Step 1. Remove the following components as illustrated:
• Two spacers (8 mm wrench)
• Four guide pins (7 mm wrench)
• One plunger (5/8” wrench for top side; 7/16” wrench for bottom side)
• Two hex nuts (5 mm wrench)
• One lifting handle (PH 2 screwdriver)
