communicate directly with all of the other network devices on the peer-to-peer
network. These devices can share information, but are not able to access resources
outside of the peer-to-peer network. A peer-to-peer network allows the LI-8100A to
connect to other devices (e.g. the computer or iOS device) directly, without a
separate server, or access point (below).

The LI-8100A can also be connected to a specific hardware access point (below).
For example, this could be a wireless router/switch, or it can be a Software Access
Point that runs on a computer equipped with a wireless network interface card.
Note that even with an access point present, only one client (PC or PDA) can talk
to an LI-8100A at a time.
