6.10.3 Air conditioning belt tension check/adjustment (13)

Check the condition of the air conditioning compressor belt. If the belt is worn or oily, replace it with a new one.
Spare part number of the air conditioning belt is 830129049610.
To adjust air conditioning belt:
► Loosen bolt (1).
► Loosen bolt (3).
► Move the air conditioning compressor (2) in order to adjust the belt (4) to the required tension.
► Tighten bolt (1) and bolt (3).
6.10.4 Battery check (14)
The battery is located on the right side of the body in front of the fuel tank under the protective cover.
► If the battery is a so‐called maintenance‐free battery:
► Only check the cleanliness of the terminals/clamps and the battery. Clean when necessary and lubricate the clamps
with chassis grease.
If the battery cells are equipped with filler plugs:
► Open the plugs.
► Check the cells' fluid levels. The fluid levels must be 5–10 mm above the cells.
► When necessary add clean battery water and close the plugs carefully.
► Never add acid or use naked flame to check the fluid level.
If you get acid on your clothes or skin, rinse it off immediately with plenty of water. If acid gets into your eyes, rinse it off
immediately with plenty of water and seek medical care.
