Replace the safety element (2) when necessary:
► By rotating and pulling it out.
► Clean the case.
► Press a new element in by rotating it.
► If the air filter safety element (605129022340) is replaced, air filter main element (605129022350) must also be
replaced.
The engine air filter must be replaced according to the periodic maintenance interval table (chapter 6.7.1, pages 63-65),
or if the filters are very dirty or damaged. A clogged filter causes the running sound to change or increased smoke
generation and loss of power.
► Turn off the engine for the replacement.
► Remove the old filter element (and safety element if needed)
► Install the new filter element (and safety element) carefully into position.

6.13.1 Engine oil change and oil filter replacement (25)
Oil draining:
► Warm up the engine.
►Turn off the engine.
► Pull the oil dipstick out and loosen the oil filler cap (oil drains quicker).
► Remove engine oil drain plug in the oil sump and drain the oil into a container.

While the oil is draining, change the new oil filter (3):
► Remove the old oil filter with a suitable tool.
► Clean the sealing mating surface on the engine (1).
► Apply clean engine oil to the new oil filter seal (2).
NOTE
Do not fill the oil filters with oil before installing them. This oil would not be
filtered and could be contaminated. Contaminated oil can cause accelerated
wear to engine components or engine damage.
