NOTE: The transformer has a metal oxide
varistor (MOV) attached to it which protects
the transformer and the dryer from a power
surge. If a dryer experiences a second
power surge, the transformer’s MOV will
already have been damaged and will not
protect the transformer or the control board.
NOTE: Electric stack dryers will have an
additional Step Down Transformer, which
is removed the same way as the control
transformer.
Lower the control board bracket
(See page 4-50).
Press the locking tab and disconnect the
two wire connector.
Remove two 1/4” hex head screws that
secure the transformer to the base of the
collar.
