SECTION 5: QUICK START T200 User's Manual
PAGE 5-3
5.1 Getting Started
The following section describes a “Quick Start” method for the Moog T200 Servo-drive. This will allow the user to
quickly and easily set up a T200 motor-drive system and start basic motor operations. The user should first read and be
familiar with sections 1, 2 and 3 of this manual before attempting to follow this quick start procedure. This is especially
true with respect to the safety notices and other hazard warnings.
5.1.1 Initial Preparation
Install the drive and wire the system as per Section 3. As a minimum, the a.c. mains input cable, the 24Vd.c. or
120Va.c. input cable, the Motor cable, the Resolver cable and the Axis I/O cables must be pre-wired. One of the drive
communication methods (e.g. PC based WinDrive, hand-held terminal etc.) must also be implemented.
5.1.2 Power Up Sequence
Apply 24Vd.c. or 120Va.c. logic power to the T200. The T200 control section will begin its start up cycle. The T200
now needs to be initialised with valid start-up data so that the control card can complete this start up cycle. The T200
Servo-drive needs a valid motor to be configured to allow the control card to start.
NOTE: This quick start procedure assumes a first time power up on a
previously non-configured drive.
