The address refered to by byte 2 is made from a bitwise OR between the T200 ‘slave’ address and the Host ‘master’
address (Master fixed at 80 hex). For RS232, address = 80 hex or 128 decimal .
The ‘acknowledge status’ byte has the following bit definitions:
Bit Meaning
0 Reserved
1 Acknowledge (Command OK)
2 No Acknowledge (Command NOT OK)
3-7 Reserved
An acknowledgement will normally be received after approximately 10ms, though this may vary greatly depending on
the command sent, the amount of data transmitted (in the command or response), and the "load" of the application within
the T200.
As a comparison, the standard "time out" period used in WinDrive is 5 second for a parameter read/write, and up to two
seconds for each paragraph of block data read/written.
6.13.2.3 MODIFYING T200 PARAMETERS
Message Transmission to T200
The command code for modifying a parameter is 02. The data required is:
• Parameter number (least significant byte followed by most)
• Parameter write value ( 2 or 4 bytes depending on parameter size). The order is from least significant to most
significant byte .
To modify a parameter, the following message (series of bytes) should be sent to the T200:
